Sibawayhi’s method was that of a theoretical linguist, that’s to say,
he already had an idea of language earlier than he started to use induction to the mass of information to find the organizing ideas of Arabic.
He wrote the Kitab, the ideas of that are common and related to today.
All examples are given in transliteration, and are translated, and technical phrases and ideas have been glossed or defined as typically as attainable.
