The Yearling

Jody Baxter longs for a friend with whom he can share his thoughts and feelings. He makes friends with a young orphaned deer called Flag, but as Flag grows older, problems arise and decisions have to be made. Set in the Florida scrublands, The Yearling is a powerful tale famous for its descriptions of the natural world.
