Aspect for Kazakhstan Grade 10 Teacher’s Book PDF
Aspect for Kazakhstan is a modular secondary-level course designed for learners studying British English at Grammar Schools, targeting a Low Mid B2 CEFR level. The course offers flexibility, making it suitable for various types of classes, including large or mixed-ability groups.
The course consists of nine modules, each containing five units, plus a Curricular & Culture section and a Progress Check. Additionally, the corresponding module in the Workbook provides options for additional practice.
Course Components
Student’s Book: The primary component of the course, organized into modules centered around single themes, with topics of general interest.
All modules follow a consistent structure (see Elements of the Coursebook).
Workbook & Grammar Book: The full-color Workbook contains modules matching those in the Student’s Book, offering practice in all four language skills and a Grammar Bank with theory and exercises.
It can be used in class or for homework after completing the relevant module in the Student’s Book.
Teacher’s Book and Tests CD-ROM: This includes Teacher’s Notes with step-by-step lesson plans, a complete answer key for exercises in the Student’s Book & Workbook, and audioscripts for listening materials.
Moreover, the CD-ROM provides tests for each module to assess students’ progress formally, complete with keys, listening tasks, audioscripts, and an Evaluation section.
Class Audio CDs: These CDs feature all the recorded materials accompanying the course.
This includes dialogues and texts for Listening and Reading sections, as well as pronunciation, intonation, and listening tasks.
IWB (Interactive Whiteboard): The IWB contains all the materials from the Student’s Book, Teacher’s Book, and Audio CDs, thereby facilitating classroom lessons.
It also presents all the Use of English structures and provides video extracts to help students practice English and expand their knowledge.
ieBook: An interactive digital version of the Student’s Book, which serves as a study partner for students.
Digital Material: The Workbook & Grammar Book is paired with a cross-platform digital application.
DVD Video Pal: Contains videos closely related to the material in the Student’s Book.
DVD Activity Book & Key: Offers exercises that accompany the videos in the DVD Video Pal, along with answers.
Elements of the Coursebook
Each module begins with an introductory page that summarizes the content, including pictures and vocabulary exercises related to the module theme. The sections of each module include:
- Vocabulary: Introduces vocabulary using pictures and various exercises. A particular feature of the book is teaching collocations to help students remember vocabulary items as part of set expressions.

- Writing: Carefully designed to systematically develop writing skills. Each section includes a model text, guided practice, and tasks based on realistic writing types and styles, such as letters, emails, descriptions, and reviews.
- Curricular & Culture Spot Sections: Connect module themes to school subjects, thereby helping students contextualize language and engage with cultural information linked to English-speaking countries.
- Progress Check: At the end of each unit, this section reinforces understanding of topics, vocabulary, and structures, allowing students to self-evaluate and identify areas for improvement.
- Grammar Reference Section: Offers comprehensive explanations and reviews of grammar structures, useful both in class and at home.
