How to Use the Book
You can go through Everyday Business English from beginning to end, or you can choose a chapter based on your specific business needs.
Start each chapter by listening to and repeating the useful phrases. Then, listen to the dialogues and study the accompanying notes. Some phrases are highlighted to draw attention to particular language features, but it’s also important to note other phrases that appear in the dialogues, as they are equally important and can be considered key phrases. Use a dictionary to check your understanding of the language presented.
The notes pages include boxes with information on some differences between British and American English usage.

After studying the dialogues and notes, proceed with the exercises. You can refer back to the dialogues and notes as needed. Answers and suggested responses to more open-ended exercises are provided at the end of the book.
Finally, review the glossary at the end of the book and test your understanding of key expressions. Write translations of these expressions, using a dictionary if necessary. You can also visit the English for Work page on the Longman website for translations of key phrases in multiple languages.
This book can be used for self-study or with a teacher. Good luck, and enjoy building your everyday business English skills!
