Mary, Queen of Scots
My title is Bess Curle, however this isn’t my story. It’s the story of my woman Mary,
Queen of Scots.She wrote the story, after which she gave it to me. I’m going to present it
to her son.
She started the story every week in the past. It was January 1587, and we sat right here in our chilly
room in Fotheringhay Fort, within the north of England. We couldn’t see a lot from the
window.One or two homes, a river, some bushes, some horses, and a street.
That’s all.
The street goes to London, the house of Queen Elizabeth of England. Mary sat along with her
