Speakout 3rd Edition comprises eight levels: A1, A2, A2+, B1, B1+, B2, B2+, and C1-C2.
Each level includes eight units, each divided into four lessons, along with a Unit Opener and a Review section.
Every unit features two primary input lessons (Lessons A and B), a functional language or ‘How to…’ lesson (Lesson C), and a BBC video lesson (Lesson D).
The Grammar Bank and Vocabulary Bank at the back of the book play a crucial role in the lessons where they are used. The language introduced in these sections is treated as taught material, revisited in subsequent activities, and potentially featured in the unit review and test content.
The Mediation Bank offers eight standalone lessons that can be taught at any time but are ideally delivered after completing each Lesson C.
