Speak Your Mind Student’s Book Starter includes 6 units, each containing 10 pages. To begin with, each unit starts with a one-page Unit Opener designed to introduce the unit topic and elicit vocabulary and language that students already know. Additionally, each Unit Opener features a video to prompt discussion.
Following the Unit Opener, there are four double-page lessons. Specifically, Lessons 1-3 cover the core areas: GRAMMAR, VOCABULARY, READING, SPEAKING, LISTENING, PRONUNCIATION, and WRITING. Moreover, Lesson 4, titled “Language and Life,” includes a reading task aimed at developing key 21st-century skills.
Furthermore, at the end of each unit, there is a REVIEW page. This page provides additional practice for target vocabulary and grammar. Additionally, it introduces a study skill (in odd-numbered units) or a profession related to the unit topic (in even-numbered units).
