“Read and Understand” is a series of four workbooks tailored for secondary or intermediate students seeking to improve their reading comprehension skills. The two lower-level books each feature 15 reading texts that explore social and contemporary issues relevant to teenagers. The two upper-level books offer 20 reading passages on various engaging topics, presented in different text types.
Each unit begins with three or four Pre-Reading Questions designed to stimulate students’ thoughts on topics related to the text. These questions encourage collaboration in pairs or small groups, helping students develop their predictive abilities and comprehension by drawing on their prior knowledge and experiences.
